As an industrial entity of the National Key Laboratory of Metal Matrix Composites at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, the company deeply relies on the laboratory's over thirty years of technological accumulation and R&D resources, shouldering the core mission of transforming cutting-edge theoretical research into large-scale industrial applications, and building a full-chain advantage of "technology R&D - achievement transformation - market landing."
The company focuses on the production and sales of high-performance lightweight structural aluminum matrix composites, with core products covering a full range of specifications including ingots, wires, pipes, profiles, and plates, and actively exploring the emerging field of additive manufacturing of metal matrix composites. With the core technical support from the laboratory in aerospace and national defense fields, several products developed by the company have been successfully applied in national strategic areas such as aerospace and national defense, precisely matching the significant demands for key components and providing core material support for the development of high-end equipment in the country. The company's R&D team is formidable: an academician from the Chinese Academy of Sciences serves as the academic leader, an associate professor from Shanghai Jiao Tong University leads the core research, and a cutting-edge research group is formed by master's and doctoral students from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, with 4 senior outstanding engineers specializing in technology transfer. The team combines top academic excellence with engineering practical ability, covering all aspects of R&D, injecting core momentum into technological innovation and industrial upgrading.
Through the automation and digital transformation of equipment, the traditional nearly ten-step powder metallurgy manufacturing process has been shortened to three steps (capsule aluminum manufacturing - hot pressing densification - extrusion forming), while also developing extreme forming technologies for aluminum-based composite materials, such as aluminum-based composite pipes with wall thicknesses of less than 1mm and aluminum-based composite wires with diameters of less than 1mm.
The company has a complete production line for aluminum-based composite materials with an annual output of 500 tons, from powder to components, including nine production lines for aluminum-based composite wire with an annual output of 60 tons each, and two automated production lines for high-modulus aluminum-based composite pipes.
